Desktop publishing is the creation of documents using software that enables you to create quality documents with graphics and style that are worthy of publishing. The term implies a more professional-looking end result, with a more complex layout, than word processing. In this class students will learn the tools and tricks to create numerous projects with style and ease. We will be starting with Microsoft Word and moving on to newer programs as the trimester goes on. This course will focus on creating work worthy of publishing and becoming comfortable with the more complex aspects of familiar programs. It is my hope that we will create school newsletters, posters, business cards, menus, greeting cards, and finally the Christmas Program.

Monday: We are going to go over the AUP for email and then log into our emails and open Google drive. We are going to put the papers we stared into google drive and double check our work, I know a few people wanted to add a few sentences. Next we are going to share the paper with me. Pages Update: ( what I researched) To put color in as a back ground: Insert a square object, resize it in the Metrics Inspector (or simply grab the handles and drag it to the size you want) then go to the Graphic Inspector and click on the color box and choose the color you want. Now, in the Arrange menu, send it to the back. Borders: - See Alyssa P.
